   I live in Harbor Springs,Michigan, in a USDA Rual Housing, one story quadraplex’s. We have 5 digital Smart Meters 60hz,240volts , 3 watts for the Electric on one side of the bulidings wall, next to the bedrooms. And on my side is one Itron Water Meter inside the bulding next to the other two bedrooms, emitting 928mhz or 928,000,000 hertz every six seconds/24-7. Neither are grounded, or hardwired and none are within 10ft of our beds and bodies. I have metal posts and one metal root canal. I moved here May 2009. I pay $505/mo. plus Electric which has gone up $10 since they were applied Feb.2010. In June, I reported to my doctor that I was waking up throughout the night for no reason,which I had never had that happen before. She ran a Sleep Apnea Study/cost over $5K . I was not aware the meters could cause sleep interruption unitl May of 2011. I have also “ringing the ears ” and neck pain , and my platelet level dropped and my thyroid function tests were all off wack! Then the end of May with fatigue lasting since June 2010, also. I started having chest pains and irregular heart rate, with back pain’s in back of my heart. Nervousness, low ability to handle stress. I called the City Manager and spoke with him about this. I had spoken with him back in Nov. 2010 as well when I discovered them, but at that time they told me they were safe, and were only on when the meter reader came by with his hand held to collect the data. But on May 27th when I spoke with him, he changed his facts and said, they are measuring data every six seconds., emitting those “safe” hertz 24/7. He told me to find some peer review studies from W.H.O. or FCC only and he would take a look at them. Well, we know there are no studies because this is “over the counter” pollution and dirty electricity that is not regulated due to low frequency EMF’s. OH my body temperature increased too, to where I had pain and heat traveling up my face from those metal posts in my teeth through my left eye and into my braiin, that is when that occurred for several days that I thought I should report it to him. Plus I thought I was going to die , with the weakness and chest pains and feeling hot all of the time………I really began researching this big time……..and went to two City Council Meetings to ask them to “hardwire it and ground it” , or wrap it in microwave absorbing material and then I would unwrap it when the meter reader came by so he could collect the data. Or to reset it to only measure the water and electric usage to twice or three times a day. and not at night. Or to remove it. Or to pay me $1500 to move out of here. They laughed at me and said they are safe and I was trying to blame all of my health problems on these Smart Meters. They said they would do nothing. I said put that in writing. They said they would. And I was told by two , five state District EPA directors that there was a problem and to tell them to fix it…….and #2 buy a EMF geiger counter to measure my apt’s EMF pollution. #3 ground it and hardwire it. HE said the problem for you is , they the city own their own utliity company and so you have to talk to them. They are a Corporation, not a public utility company and they are out of compliance with the FCC by putting them inside your building and so close to your bedrooms. I did speak with the Electrical Engineer at the Michigan Public Service Commission and he said the same thing, and was willing to take my complaint but couldn’t because they do no oversite over corporations . I also spoke with Richard Tell and Associates who did one study on the Wifi smart meters for ITRON, but he did not put a humanbeing behind it or an animal to see at what level of distance would cause health problems. He said the FCC allows 600watts to be the maximum level allowed. And since these were 3watts or .1 watt he said it took 7,000 of them to reach the maximum level of compliance so he said what I need to do is to get legislation written to lower the wattage that would be safe for apt dweller or neighborhood or city that has these on every piece of property……..20 million people in the USA have Metal Medical Devices in their bodies and those accumulated , pulsating every six seconds does not give the body time enough to recover, and it will stop a pacemaker or brain implant or anyone with a hip or knee replacement or metal stent will absorb more of the EMF’s and acquire health problems from them……I spoke with the County Prosecutor and they had me fill out a police report , which they have not gotten yet. But the City Attorney I heard today did and called the management company and told they wanted to know what our walls were made of……well they go through brick and drywall from what i understand. So I guess with me contacting the police they are showing some concern now…….However, the property management company was ticked off with me and told me to stop calling them……I said I had not called them, since before the first meeting June 6th. I did ask them over and over again to find out when ours were applied and it wasn’t until the second meeting June 20th when I was told at the City Hall when I spoke with the clerk as I was about to pay my electric bill…..I moved my mattress into the living room before the second meeting, because I thought I was going to have a heart attack and die….I knew I had to be at least 15ft from that thing so it would cause me health problems. .I hadn’t dreamed in a year and half and I dreamed the first night. I slept sounder, and did not wake up fatigued, my chest pain went away , my back and neck pain did too. I had one bout of irregular heart rate and that has gone away…….the ringing in my ears is diminishing. not completely gone yet. My body temperature is beginning to feel normal now. My neighbor has her hear by the window and she has complained of fatique, and waking up suddenly, with her heart pounding and with profuse sweating, numersous panic attacks she calls them. She also had chest pains, She went to her doctor and he gave her Nitro and pain pills, but she didn’t know about the Smart meters until I told her about why I was going to the City Hall meetings. Another lady had a heart attack and bypass surgery afterwords, with a pacemaker and has been in and out of the hospital. Another gentleman has gotten bowel cancer since these meters were put on…….he sleeps right next to them too……anther ladies two small dogs have been sick and her diabetes is off wack. Another has been very ill She has a metal screen in her abdomin Yes were are all older in this complex, but it is odd that we were all in pretty good heath until these meters were put on so close to our bedrooms . To me this a criminal but the prosecutor said I may need to get a Civil lawyer a nd I can’t afford one….I am on social security as we all are that are sidk here……..If you can help please do………I think soon this thing will get out of control with the general public and these companies need to be Hard wiring these and transfering the data over the powerlines not into our apartment space. The Electrical Engineer said that radio waves can travel 1000feet. so with six of those meters on our entire quadraplex has millions of these waves bounciing off walls and being absorbed into our bodies………I called the IBEW of Michigan and that man had never heard of Smart Meters and there is no electrical code for applying any meter to a building……and the gentleman that works for the Harbor Springs Electrical Company said he was not an electrician , didn’t learn anything about electriicity,and then he said candidly,”they are easy to put on , you just snap them off and put the new digital ones on.” Isaid do you know that there are houses catching on fire in Texas from these electrical meters, from improper application of them? He said well yhour talking to the wrong person, call the Utlitiy manager. And he said I don’t put the water wifi on’s your water pipe so call them …….then I happened to talk to the gas meter reader from DTE and he said, he knew about them, but he said we aren’t going to put them on for ten years on the gas meters, the science isn’t there yet and those can leak gas sometimes and with a spark it could blow up the entire house. He said We Think of Safety first. I said well those 5 electric meters are right next to the gas pipe……..He said well , whatever they aren’t going on our meters untilt he science is there for the safety of them……..That is all I know right now…..If someone would call me I could expound them more. About all of the conversations I have had with so many congressman, senators, govenors and EPa and FCC and ITRON techs and salespeople etc…….I’lll give you names and phone numbers too ………..I have made notes and my meeting with the City are in the minutes also……thank you!

   I’m not in Michigan. But I’m very interested to see how you’re progressing in your battle. In the town I live in there are very few people who have even heard of a smart meter. Obviously the utility companies are hoping to sneak them in before we know what they are. It’s amazing how the media ignores the outcries across the USA against smart meters. I don’t want smart meters here. I’ve sent a certified letter to the utility company that I refuse to allow a smart meter, I’ve written the politicians, I’ve put brochures in the library and gym. Things aren’t looking good. The towns all around have smart meters installed. People are sick but neither the people nor the doctors suspect smart metes. Do you have any advice for me?
